Farm Bureau Insurance Raises $1 Million in Partnership with St. Jude
COLUMBIA, Tenn. — In March of 2022, Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee officially reached the $1 million mark in its five-year fundraising campaign to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Farm Bureau Insurance leadership credits the company’s culture of generosity and compassion for this achievement. Insurance agents, customer service representatives, and employees all contributed to the realization of this goal.
Farm Bureau Insurance leadership began a partnership with St. Jude in 2017 because of the similarity in focus for both organizations. “We have always been so impressed with the work that St. Jude does and their mission statement that no child is denied treatment based on their ability to pay,” said Chief Executive Officer Jeff Pannell. “We are blessed to work for Farm Bureau Insurance, and it means a great deal to give back to an organization like St. Jude that truly makes a difference in the lives of so many.”
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food so they can focus on helping their child live.
“Our partnership with St. Jude is something that our company is extremely proud of,” said Bobby Pulley, Chief Marketing Officer at Farm Bureau Insurance. “The miracles that St. Jude performs with those children is unlike any other place in the country.”
One of the ways Farm Bureau Insurance agents helped raise money was by selling more than 36,000 special-edition St. Jude “Farmer Charlie” baseball caps and donating 100 percent of the proceeds directly to St. Jude. In addition, agents, along with staff at the corporate office and across the state, hosted fundraisers and committed to donating monthly.
